café rival with you

conversations with you are easy going, even though we talk about complex ideas and extraordinary phenomenon. we discuss our thesis of life, our observations and the human in its rarest and most arduous positions. you make me think, more.
I got to the café a few hours before you. choosing the slightly hidden sofa in the deepest corner of the café, I had a perfect view of the other visitors, as I sipped a couple cups of fine-grind black coffee. sitting there, writing a shortstory on my iPhone, I started to wonder how I must look in someone else's eyes, even though no one were watching of course...
we become non receptive to the outside world as it is today with our electronic devices. sadly, they have the tendency to deprive focus of any human being and transfer it elsewhere. meeting our friend physically many of us tend to be somewhere else mentally, which only gives our friend infront of us barely half of our attention.
when you are by yourself, you flee the outside world by listening to music, talking with someone one the phone or texting. this makes you not as aware of your surrounding as you could have been, and why I point this out is because I feel there is a kind of dread to encounter with a stranger, you rather do not. you lock yourself up with you electronic equipments making you unreachable to everyone else...
by your smiling face I popped out of my bubble of thoughts and we started to question and discuss our own awareness of other people and how we adapt to our surrounding conditions. subconsciously, we know much more how to treat unknown situations and persons than we believe we do.
